I just finished crushing garlic for my mom. And when I see a product like this, I feel like cursing my fate. Even if it is good, it wouldn’t be available in Indian markets. We just have to resort back to our age-old techniques.

Nothing wrong with age old techniques, but I do not agree that it will not be availabe in the Indian markets. Maybe not the local mom-and-pop stores but I am sure you will get them in big upmarket retail outlets.

The best way to not have your hands smell like garlic is to not use any at all!! Jokes apart, I find the ready made garlic paste a good alternative to smelly fingers...
Another handy tip is to immerse the garlic in hot water...
Of course you can always go the Jamie Oliver way and cut the garlic with a knife leaving only the flesh in the middle...
But given the rate at which prices are going skywards, I wouldn’t suggest you take the last route unless you have a few acres of personal farms growing the herb!!

Oh! a must have for most of the Indian home, or at least my kitchen! Cause we still don’t get peeled garlic off shelves. Since garlic tastes better as crushed and so the ready made pastes aren’t of any good use for best flavor.
