The $25 grant per school to buy a radio for the school to listen to English lesson broadcasts could perhaps rank as the World’s cost-effective grant. Developed Nations and the Donor Agencies ought to be amazed about the reach and effectiveness of something so little as $25.

I have heard renowned English professors say that Listening to Engish (and doing such things as repating what you hear)is an effective way of learning English.

If the lessons are as scientific as Berliz or Rossetta Stone lessons and if the voices are that of native speakers, this program could gradually get the children of rural India get comfortable with English.
