Personally I think that too many Malls are close to each other...and thanks to luxury tax in India, some products are way more expensive than other countries...who wants to pay 20% more?

when middle class constitutes the basic chunk of Indian population, you think anybody’s going to pay freaking 3k-10k for a French Connection Dress, which otherwise looks so simple that if you told anyone that it had cost you a fortune, they wud laugh at ur face..

@yeah, but what makes the likes of Stella Mc Cartney open stores in India? They think that Indians are ready to splurge on a dress which costs 8-10 k?

Agree with u Ruchi. And Nishi, though the likes of Stella Mc Cartney and Louis Vitton have made a foray into the Indian market, the affordabilty is a big question and they are way beyond the middle class as such. But I agree that Bangalore has become chock-a block with malls... whether the reality boom is a myth or reality only time will say!
