Oh my God...where are we leading?? Such a barbaric acts did not even get highlighted in some of the other leading newspapers in the city...maybe the influential upmarket playschool has a very ’respectable’ clientele...whose reputation will be affected! Its really scary...in most cases we tend to neglect the child’s behaviour as a pretext to not going to school! Thank God, the parents took notice before a major mishap took place...but the scar will remain in the child’s mind for long!

Yes, the child needs to be counseled. Honestly I feel the name of the school should be published, at least then other parents are also aware that the so-called up-market schools also when confronted have an ostrich like attitude. Instead of trying to hear out the child, the school initially was trying to insinuate that this young boy was making it all up! Glad the parents pursued it.

This got reported as the parent trusted the child and pursued it. The child will be counseled. But we forget for each such cases reported, how many may be just suffering, carrying this traumas into their adult life. This case brings into light the danger lurks in safe places like day centers, schools, home,.. Then where is the safe place!

Honestly Divya, one has to keep their ears and eyes open, especially where kids are concerned. We need to trust our children, hear them out...no matter how busy we are with our lives. Also most importantly as parents we need to teach our kids what a ”good touch” is and what a ”bad touch” is.

I am not shocked. I remembered my own school’s director. He was a man with absolutely no character and no morals. I believe humanity is going down the drains. Brutality is actually dominating the scene with full gusto. In a country, where new borns are raped, a three-year old cannot be called off from being a prospective victim of the crime.

I agree that sexual abuse of children is becoming more and more common, but what is the most appalling thing is the attitude of the school. Instead of trying to hear the child out they initially were trying to insinuate that the little boy is making it all up.

Poor kid. He’d be traumatised all his life, for no fault of his.

This just goes to show that such people need some mental treatment. How could any person in his ane mind commit such a heinous act?

Until few years ago, such incidents were never heard of in India partly may be because the parents didn’t have the grit to report the case and subject the kid and the family to public scrutiny... But the parent in this case deserves few kudos for braving the odds and at least come into the open.... I am sure this mindset in parents is the only way out to keep the sharks at bay.

@Agree with you Bijoy. It is the parents who can with their attitudes make their children aware of such incidents. One can never really make it absolutely ceratin that the children will never meet such a person, but at least if any one tries to abuse them, they will realize in the very first instance that it is not correct.
